I didn't make the vinyl tile. Our former bishops wife made that for us, I didn't make the manger either. Technically my dad did. But without me telling him what I want, it would have never been made. We are trying to see if we can fill the manger with soft, warm straw by doing kind acts so that baby Jesus will have a nice bed on Christmas Day.

Same with this one. I didn't make the nativity, or the star. I did buy them! I have looked high and low for a manger for my new pieces. No such luck, so I made my dad build me a stand for them. I think I like it better than a manger.

Lady in Red

I think these simple twirl skirts are becoming a fast favorite of mine. It was red day at preschool and she had nothing to wear...shocking because RED is my FAVORITE color!

At 8:00 the night before, I realized this little fact and remembered seeing some "Minnie Mouse" fabric at Hancock several weeks earlier. I ran to the store and grabbed it. At 40% off it was a steal! It was even better with my 20% off coupon! Then on the way home I ran into Wal-Mart to grab a white t-shirt. I had the ribbon at home already. 45 minutes later, we had a red outfit for under $5.00.

Simple Twirl Dress

I saw an outfit like this in a posh little girl's clothing store and the price tag on the skirt was outrageous at almost $40. So I took a yard of fabric, sewed four straight lines and threaded some elastic through. The only difference that I can see is that the polka dots on the other skirt were bigger.

By-the-way...my fabric cost me $2. I had the elastic already, but if I had bought that, it would have been maybe $1.

Score.

Pacifier Clips

I loved that when I was in the store the other day I saw these heart mitten clips on clearance. Gotta love clearance. Normal mitten/suspender clips are never this fun. I cut off the elastic that was attached and sewed up my own little something. Tack a little velcro on the end and you have a versatile binky clip.

Because We HAVE To Have Dresses Now

I LOVE this fabric. Talk about an easy sew! The two on the left are skirts for the Princess and the two on the right are dresses for Spunky...seeing as how Spunky is boycotting pants and skirts and shirts.

Simple Skirt

For those that know me, they know I love rules. Rules make my life easier. HOWEVER, I have one exception to this. Patterns. I loathe patterns. I would rather try and fail than cut and try to read a pattern. I think it stems from my nasty algebra teacher in Junior High. Anyways, I found this fabric a while ago on clearance while perusing a fabric store. The Princess has a sweater in the exact shade of blue. Fate...I think so! So a few measurements later, we have a new skirt.

Valentines for My Girls

I found these darling buckets at Roberts and got them for 50% off, BONUS! I have a super special friend who cuts vinyl. On the other side there are hearts and the word "LOVE".

Taggie Valentine for the Squishy Baby

Keep in mind, it was midnight when I made this, so don't look too close. She isn't quite old enough to get a Valentine like her sisters, so she gets something to snuggle. It really helps that she seems to be a tacticle baby. She has to feel everything.

Valentine's for Teachers

I am dabbling in Photoshop and I LOVE what I can do in that program. Today's assignment was to make a Valentine for my daughter's teachers. It turned out darker than I had wanted. On my computer the papers looked more burgandy, but I love it just the same. Anyone know how to calibrate a printer to match your screen?
