Simple Twirl Dress

I saw an outfit like this in a posh little girl's clothing store and the price tag on the skirt was outrageous at almost $40. So I took a yard of fabric, sewed four straight lines and threaded some elastic through. The only difference that I can see is that the polka dots on the other skirt were bigger.

By-the-way...my fabric cost me $2. I had the elastic already, but if I had bought that, it would have been maybe $1.

Score.

Awesome! Love it. It makes me so happy that my mom taught me to sew when I was young. It's amazing the things that you can make instead of buy; and it's so much cheaper!

That turned out great and I bet you didn't even use a pattern. You are so talented.

I love that skirt! When I first saw it, it reminded me of one I saw at Gap. Great colors!

Could you show me where you sewed those lines? I love those skirts.
