Pacifier Clips

I loved that when I was in the store the other day I saw these heart mitten clips on clearance. Gotta love clearance. Normal mitten/suspender clips are never this fun. I cut off the elastic that was attached and sewed up my own little something. Tack a little velcro on the end and you have a versatile binky clip.

I can't even tell you how much I am in need of some more of these (mine always seem to disappear...which isn't that what they are meant to not do?). Anyway, I was going to order some, but you have once again inspired me to give it a try on my own. Do you mind me asking where you found your clips? Thanks for the great creativity & craftiness (is that a word?).

Debbie, I got the heart ones at Wal-Mart and the plain ones at Hancock Fabrics. The ones at Wal-Mart are actually mitten clips. The kind you use to hook winter mittens to your coat.

I hope that helps!

I also just used little velcro dots where you wrap it around the pacifier. Mine were ultra sticky and once I stuck them on there, they wouldn't budge. I was fully intending to tack them to the ribbon. If they start to fall off, I will do that.

I am such a lame-o...I didn't even think about a fabric store for the plain ones. We don't have a Hancock by us, but I bet a JoAnn's would work. I thought the hearts were so cute - I am going to head to Wallies tomorrow to see if they have them by us (we live in So Cal so they don't always carry the greatest selection of Wintery stuff like mitten accessories and such). Thanks again for the info. Have a great night!

These are so cute. I wish my baby would take a binky just so I could make some of these. You don't need a clip for a thumb.

This is not about this post... but didn't you have a tutorial on making "baby legs" with knee high socks? I can't find it and I bought about 10 pairs at Target tonight. They are so cute... knit, but thin and were on clearance for about a dollar each pair-- regularly $4.99.

BlackeyedSue, Sorry this is going to be a little bit long. I was looking for your email address on your blog, and maybe I over looked it. But I just wanted to drop you a line. First of all. I am totally making some of these. I am going to try and hunt some mitten clips and make some. It is brilliant! I have lost so many binky clips it is no longer funny.

And I admire all the skills you have. You are a very talented person. A friend dirrected me your way becuase of your Hair style page. I started doing hair tutorials a few months back and she was saying how impressed that with all of your I had completly different ones. And I came and checked out your stuff and I just wanted to tell you I think you are way talented. I admire you. In the future is it okay if I mention your name as another good source for idea's? And link people to your page? I don't want to do it without you okay. Just let me know.

I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know I was here. And tell you that you are doing a great job and you have very beautiful children.

Sorry so long!

A cute idea to spruce up the plain clips would be to super glue scrapbooking charms onto them.
